Privacy and Confidentiality Policy
- At our practice, we value the privacy and confidentiality of our patients' health information above all else. We understand the sensitivity of your personal health information and are committed to protecting it at all times. We will not release any details regarding your/your child's health to anyone without your prior consent, unless required by law. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your peace of mind and trust in our practice.
- It is important to bring your valid and up-to-date health card to each visit. If you do not provide accurate health card information, your claim to OHIP may be rejected, and fees may apply. Please inform our reception staff of any changes to your health card information.
- To ensure that we can provide the best possible care to our patients, it is important that we have accurate and up-to-date contact information on file. If there are any changes to your address or telephone numbers, please let our reception staff know as soon as possible. This will help us to stay in touch with you and provide any necessary updates regarding your care. Thank you for your cooperation.
- OHIP does not cover all services provided by the doctor. It is the patient's responsibility to pay for non-insured or uninsured services when rendered.
- If your child does not have OHIP coverage but has private insurance, we will bill you directly for services and provide an official receipt for reimbursement.
- At this time, for patients without valid OHIP coverage, our clinic accepts cash payments only. Clinics are permitted under Ontario healthcare regulations to set their own payment methods for uninsured services. Payment is required in full at the time of service. Please call 905-827-0300 for a fee estimate, as costs may vary depending on the complexity of services required.
- Cancellation notice for appointments must be given 24 hours in advance. Late arrivals and missed appointments will be billed to the patient/guardian and may inconvenience other patients.
- The front desk staff cannot answer health-related questions. Please direct these inquiries to your pediatrician and schedule an appointment.
- We have a zero-tolerance policy for rude, abusive, or violent behaviour towards staff or physicians. Such behaviour is grounds for immediate dismissal from our practice.
- Our pediatricians work as a group and may not be available every day. In case of illness or semi-urgent appointments, you may see a different pediatrician. Please schedule regular check-ups and immunizations with your child's primary pediatrician.
